A Mt. Vernon man has been arrested on a child pornography charge.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department says 67-year-old Roy Staley is in the county jail.
Detectives went to 4225 Rose Lane complex apartment #3 in reference to a tip made through the Sheriff’s App about possible child pornography at the residence.
They made contact with Staley. Evidence was initially recovered, which led to a search warrant for the residence and eventually more evidence was found.
