The city of Carbondale is taking applications from community-minded agencies to receive money from the American Rescue Plan Act, also known as ARPA.
The city received several million dollars from the program and wants to use some of the funds to bounce back from COVID-19. Roni LeForge is the Public Relations Officer for the City.
"The city as part of that, was awarded 7.8 million dollars to fund organizations or agencies in the community that can support Carbondale's recovery from the COVID-19 public health emergency and you know public health crisis, as well as all the economic impacts that go along with it."
LeForge says the deadline to apply is February 25 and to apply online, visit: https://www.explorecarbondale.com/DocumentCenter/View/7178/FINAL---SLFRF-Funding-Application-11-19-2021-PDF
