John A. Logan College set to use a health validation platform for campus visitors

With the spring semester starting next week, John A. Logan College will start using a health validation platform for anyone entering the Carterville campus.

The school will start using CLEARED4 exclusively on January 18.

Logan President Kirk Overstreet says students and staff have received emails with a link to register for the platform, which will give each person a QR code to scan at the entry points to campus. He says those who test weekly on campus with SHIELD Illinois will have their results automatically uploaded to the platform.

In addition to using CLEARED4, weekly testing at the College will continue on Mondays and Tuesdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The testing location has moved inside to room F-110 in the Conference Center to accommodate winter weather.

Spring Semester Classes begin on Monday. The College will hold a special sign-up event from 9 to Noon this Saturday.
