Carbondale Police Search for Armed Robbery Suspect

The Carbondale Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect wanted in an armed robbery this past weekend.

About 9 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 900 block of West Main Street

They learned the victim was walking westbound on the north sidewalk in the 700 or 800 block of West Walnut Street and was approached by the suspect who was walking east on West Walnut.

The suspect displayed the tip of a concealed knife and demanded property. The victim was able to flee and get away. No injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black jacket, ski mask, dark colored jeans and black boots with tape on them.
