58th District State Senator Terri Bryant

Republican lawmakers continue to express disappointment over recent changes to the Illinois Healthcare Right of Conscience Act.

The changes will mean first responders and other frontline workers must get the COVID-19 vaccine or submit to regular testing for the virus.

58th District State Senator Terri Bryant warned of future litigation.

"This is gonna end up in Federal Court. Governor Pritzker...the hospitals of Illinois... some of the employers, you're all gonna end up in federal court. And I believe you're gonna lose."

Bryant says removing individual choice is a dangerous slope which could lead to the Majority party stripping more personal freedoms and religious rights.
