Southern Illinois lawmakers object to removal of requirement of parental notification of child's abortion
The Illinois House of Representatives passed a controversial change late Wednesday night which would take away the mandatory parent notification, if their minor child has an abortion.
115th District State Representative Dr. Paul Jacobs is against this change.
"I'm truly befuddled by the Progessive, Socialist movement that wants to remove families from any kind of say, with their families."
The removal of the parental notification of abortion bill had already passed the Senate, and now goes to the Governor.
