Carbondale Police Search for Suspects in Two Armed Robberies

Carbondale Police are searching for four suspects wanted in two separate armed robberies last week.

Officers say the first reported armed robbery occurred late Thursday night near the intersection of West Main and South Poplar Streets.

They learned the victim was robbed by two black men who were wearing black clothing and armed with handguns.

No injuries were reported.

The second reported robbery occurred late Friday night in the 700 block of South Dixon Street.

Officers learned two suspects robbed the victim during a struggle before fleeing. While running away, a suspect who displayed a handgun fired a shot into the air.

The suspect armed with the firearm was described as a tall, thin white male wearing all black clothing including a black face mask. The second suspect was described as a tall, thin, black male wearing all black including a black face mask. The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the struggle.
