Jackson Co. Health Dept. to Require Vaccine Appointments

The Jackson County Health Department will require an appointment for vaccinations, including COVID-19 and TB skin tests starting on Monday.

Services have been provided on a walk-in basis since June, but the move to appointments will allow the health department to ensure proper levels of staffing.

To make an appointment, visit the health department's website and click on the box near the top of the page. Clients can securely provide the minimal information requested and select a vaccination appointment date and time.

COVID-19 booster doses and flu vaccine are not yet available, but are anticipated soon. Further details will be released once those services are available and the appointment portal will be updated.

Persons who are unable to make an appointment online may call the Health Department at 618/684-3143 to make an appointment over the phone.

Those seeking a second COVID vaccination should bring their vaccination card. Those signing up for other types of vaccinations should bring their insurance card.
