Two Former Salukis Qualify for Saturday's Hammer Throw Final at the U.S. Olympic Trials

Two former Salukis are among the 12 finalists to qualify for the U.S. Olympic team in the women's hammer throw.

Deanna Price was the top qualifier Thursday with a throw of 77.1 meters.

Gwen Berry placed sixth with a throw of 70.74 meters.

Another Saluki -- Shauniece O'Neal -- failed to qualify for the final.

The top three finishers in Saturday evening's final will make the Olympic team in the women's hammer throw.
