Top students from Carbondale High School will take on Cisne High School in the second round of WSIU-TV's Scholastic Hi-Q

The half-hour series will air on WSIU-TV 8 and WUSI-TV 16, the public television stations of Southern Illinois University (SIU), on Sunday, January 27 at 5:30pm, with a repeat on Sunday, February 3 at 9:30am.

Celtic Connections Announces 2012 Album of the Year

Bryan Kelso Crow, host of the nationally-distributed public radio series Celtic Connections, produced and distributed by WSIU Public Radio, has announced his selection of Album of the Year for 2012. This year's honor goes to the Nashville, Tennessee family band The Willis Clan for their album entitled Chapter One: Roots.

The half-hour episode will air on WSIU channel 8 and WUSI channel 16 on Sunday, January 20 at 5:30 pm, with a repeat on Sunday, January 27 at 9:30 am.
