Botanist and naturalist Chris Benda is leading two hikes this weekend...the first one is tomorrow at Atwood Ridge in Jonesboro starting from the Shawnee National Forest office in Jonesboro at 11AM. And then Sunday at 1PM meet at the Eddyville gas station for a hike at Lusk Creek Canyon ....Chris is also a botanist and the President of the Illinois Native Plant Society. These wildflower hikes are brought to you by the River To River Cooperative Weed Management Area and the Shawnee National Forest.
