The third annual Women's Health Naturally Expo is coming up later this month in Carbondale.

The all-day event includes vendor booths, demonstrations and face-to-face meetings with over 30 natural healthcare practitioners.
Event coordinator Terry Hickey of Dayempur Herbals says one new aspect to this year's event is a panel discussion with four practitioners on how to deal with stress and anxiety.

"We haven't done a panel discussion in the past. The topic of health approaches for stress and anxiety is a pretty hot topic these days. A lot of people are under a lot of stress and feeling anxious."

Hickey says the number of practitioners who will be at the event is up by 30 or 40 percent. They will include nutritionists, acupuncturists, chiropractors and massage therapists.

The Women's Health Naturally Expo is November 11th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Dayemi Community Center in Carbondale.

You can register for a full-day or half-day. Childcare will be available. Hickey says she really wants young mothers to attend.

"The very first workshop that will be given is at 8:30 on Saturday morning and that will be on Breastfeeding: The Long Term Benefits to Mom and Baby. We're talking hormonally as far as their immune system. It's a really rich topic and presentation."
