There will be some changes coming to Washington County Hospital in Nashville.
The hospital board of directors has signed a management agreement with SSM Health to carry out the day-to-day operations.
SSM Health Communications Director Randy Schorfhiede.
"SSM Health will take over the day to day management of the hospital and its operation. However, the hospital itself will remain independent."
SSM Health has provided services at Washington County Hospital since 1993.
He says it will bring a boost to the hospital.
"It provides long term sustainability for Washington County Hospital in Nashville and focuses on long term viability."
The move comes as Washington County Hospital's CEO Nancy Newby is set to retire this year.
