The broken glass can be seen on the pavement after the back glass of this SUV was smashed.

Multiple vehicles on the SIU-Carbondale campus were vandalized Thursday by a man acting in a crazed manner.

Eyewitnesses with SIU-C's Office of Information Technology said the unidentified man entered the parking lot across from the Northwest Annex A building around 1:30 p.m.
They say he soon removed his shirt and then tried to remove his pants. He finally removed his belt and began striking vehicles with it. One women who works in the IT Office had the back glass of her SUV busted out completely.

Five SIU Department of Public Safety officers restrained the man around 2 p.m. he was taken from the scene in an ambulance.
