Southern Illinois Congressman Mike Bost has introduced a measure to provide a cost-of-living adjustment to veterans.
The Veterans' Compensation COLA Act of 2018 would also provide compensation for dependents; a clothing allowance; dependency and indemnity compensation to surviving spouses; and dependency and indemnity compensation to children paid to wounded warriors and their families for injuries they suffered while serving the country in uniform.
If approved, this increase would begin on December 1st of this year.
