UPDATE: SIU Police Identify Battery Suspects

SIU Police

SIU Police say they've identified two of the suspects in last Friday's battery on campus, and they're looking for information on the third.

Investigators say they've looked over surveillance video and interviewed witnesses, and have now identified the two women suspected in the attack.

Police say one of the women was an SIU student, the other is not affiliated with the university.

Authorities are still looking for the man involved in the incident, and have released an image from the surveillance video hoping to get more information about him.

The victim was attacked in her room in Neely Hall Friday night. Her cell phone was stolen during the incident, as well. Police believe the victim knew at least one of her attackers.

Anyone with information is asked to call SIU Police at (618)453-3771.
