UPDATE: Indiana Prison Escapee Recaptured

Police say an inmate who escaped from a minimum-security federal prison in Indiana has been arrested on the University of Illinois' campus.

Campus police say an officer doing a routine walk-through of the school's undergraduate library in Urbana, Illinois, found 61-year-old Michael Ward there and arrested him Monday night.

WTHI-TV reports the officer noticed Ward because of his clothing and his prison-issued "knit bag.'' He was taken to the Champaign County Jail to await extradition to Indiana.

Ward went missing Sunday morning during an inmate count at the Federal Correctional Complex in Terre Haute, Indiana, about 60 miles southeast of Urbana.

The Department of Justice says Ward is believed to have escaped in a white, government-owned Chevy Silverado pickup truck.
