Regular voter registration in Illinois has closed.
The last day was Tuesday.
But there are other options if you need to register for the first time, or have moved and need to update your information.
Online voter registration is available -- there's a link at the Illinois State Board of Election's website -- until October 23rd.
Jim Tenuto, assistant director of the board, recommends casting an early vote if you want to avoid election-day lines.
"You know, the weather in Illinois could be a factor. And I was doing some research earlier, and usually you'll get your biggest turnout at the Presidential years. For example in 2012, there was a 70-percent turnout. In 2008, it was a 71-percent turnout."
There's also grace period registration, which means you must register and vote at the same time.
Tenuto says whichever route you choose, he advises taking it sooner rather than later.
