Illinois State Police say a man wanted for shooting at an officer is in custody.Twenty-three year old Billy Jearlds is accused of shooting at a Cambria Police officer after an incident Monday night along Sycamore Road just west of Cambria Road.
Investigators say the Cambria officer approached Jearlds, who was walking. Jearlds reportedly talked to the officer, but then took off into the woods nearby. Police say Jearlds shot at the officer as he ran away. The officer was not injured, and fired one round back in Jearlds' direction.
A nine hour manhunt followed, and Jearlds was arrested around 8:00 Tuesday morning.

Police from multiple agencies are searching for a man they say is armed and dangerous - and shot at an officer last night in Cambria.
State Police say 23-year old Billy Jearlds was walking along Sycamore Road, just west of Cambria Road, Monday night around 10:45, when a Cambria Police officer approached him. Investigators say after speaking to the officer for a moment, Jearlds ran away into the woods, and shot at the officer as he ran.
The officer was not hurt, but police say anyone who sees him should call 911. They say Jearlds should be considered armed and dangerous.
Jearlds is described as a white man, six-foot-one, weighing about 187 pounds. He was last seen wearing a camoflauge and black hoodie and jeans.
