Special Prosecutor: No Indictment In Molly Young Case

justice for molly

Published reports say a special prosecutor won't seek charges in the death of Molly Young.

WSIL-TV reports the special prosecutor's office filed the report this week.

Young was found dead in her ex-boyfriend's apartment in 2012. Her case has remained in the headlines as family and friends questioned the investigation, and pushed for prosecution.

A special prosecutor was named in August of 2013, after a coroner's jury failed to find a cause of death, and Jackson County State's Attorney Mike Carr said he didn't have enough evidence to bring charges.

Young's father has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend, Richie Minton.
