Snow and Sleet Accumulations

Sign

The region is recovering from its first winter storm of the season.

According to the National Weather Service, the heaviest accumulation of snow and sleet - around four inches - occurred in eastern Pope and western Hardin counties of southern Illinois and just east of Paducah in western Kentucky.
Most of southeastern Illinois reported two to four inches, as did a small pocket in Cape Girardeau County.

Southwestern Illinois, mainly south of Route 13, reported one to two inches. The rest of southern Illinois, south of Interstate 64 and southeast Missouri reported one inch or less of accumulation.
