Two of the four remaining finalists for SIUC Chancellor are bowing out of the search.
System President Randy Dunn says Rodney Hanley of Fisk University and George Hynd of Oakland University withdrew their names from consideration this week.
Hanley cited budget concerns, while Hynd says he has accepted another position.
This development leaves Interim Chancellor Brad Colwell and Carlo Montemagno of the University of Alberta as finalists.
Dunn says his conversations are “ongoing,” and that an announcement could come before the university’s trustees meet next month in Springfield.
