A half- hour walk may have you looking at the world differently. The sixth annual tunnel of oppression at Southern Illinois University Carbondale returns next week. The Tunnel of Oppression is a 30-minute interactive walk where visitors will experience more than a dozen themes including race, gender and body image. University Housing Education and Outreach Coordinator Alfred Jackson says the event gets people to look at things through a different set of eyes. The Tunnel of Oppression walk runs February 20th through the 23rd in the lower level of Grinnell Hall on the SIUC campus. The Tunnel of Oppression is free and open to anyone 17 or older.
