The "suggested" deadline has passed, and leaders of the SIU Presidential Search Advisory Committee say they're poring over candidate applications and beginning the process of selecting finalists.
P-S-A-C Chair Donna Manering says they set a soft deadline of December 15 for applications, but will accept them until the position is filled. The SIU Board of Trustees is hoping to name a new President by April of this year.
Current President Glenn Poshard will retire this summer.
