Southern Illinois University Trustees will be taking a look at the President's contract at their meeting in Carbondale this week.
In a late addition to the agenda, the Board is expected to discuss, and possibly take action on what's termed as "Presidential Agreement Provisions". Neither Board Chairman Randall Thomas nor President Glenn Poshard would comment on the agenda item.
Trustees were already scheduled for a retreat, expecting to meet Wednesday and Thursday to work on policies and responsibilities for the Board. They'll be meeting at Touch of Nature, just south of Carbondale.
Four years ago, Poshard received an extension on his contract, which runs into 2015. He's been the President since 2005.
