nsf.gov

The Paul Simon Public Policy Institute and the Neighborhood Co-op Grocery are partnering up to sponsor  The Future of Water: Should We Be Worried?

SIUC alumni and Vice President  of Environmental Quality at the Shedd Aquarium Allen LaPointe will speak Thursday at the event about water issues that plague the area and the nation as well. Jerry Bradley, Outreach and Owner Services Coordinator for the Neighborhood Co-op Grocery, says it's time to raise more awareness about climate change.  Bradley says he hopes the forum will raise awareness of local water issues as well.  He says the late Senator Paul Simon was a pioneer in the area of global water issues.

The Future of Water: Should We Be Worried? will take place at the Paul Simon Public Policy Thursday  from 12 - 1 pm.
