The First and only Director of Southeast Missouri State University's Show Me Center is retiring.David Ross will retire at the end of May. Ross was hired in 1987 to guide the building through its grand opening and beyond. The 7,000 seat Show Me Center is a cooperative venture between SEMO and the City of Cape Girardeau. Ross says it's time to hand the reins over to someone else for the next 25-years. He says 25 years is a long time for a management team to be in place and it's time for some fresh ideas.
Bob Cerchio will take over as the interim director of the Show Me Center while a national search is conducted. Cerchio is the assistant director of SEMO's River Campus Visual and Performing Arts Center
