Services Set for Former Carbondale Police Chief

Funeral Services are set for former long-time Carbondale Police Chief Ed Hogan.

Hogan passed away Thursday at the Marion Veterans Medical Center. He served as Carbondale police chief from the late 70's until his retirement in 1991. 

Prior to serving Carbondale, Hogan spent 25-years with the St. Louis police department.  He was also a Navy veteran of World War II.

Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale is handling the arrangements. Visitation is 5:00 pm-8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. 

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Church in Carbondale.

Hogan was 91.
