The advisory is in effect from 6:00 pm Sunday until 6:00 am Monday for most counties along and south of I-64 in southern Illinois. A light mixture of rain, sleet, and snow will begin over the quad-state late Sunday afternoon.
Precipitation will begin to increase rapidly in coverage and intensity as it moves northeast across the region. It appears that 1-2 inches of snow will occur within the advisory region. There is also a potential for locally heavier amounts up to 4 inches over southwest Indiana and northwest Kentucky.
