The non-profit group Southern Illinoisans Against Fracturing Our Environment, or SAFE, is sponsoring an informational meeting on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017 to gather public comments and input on Woolsey Oil's plans for a fracking operation in Enfield. The company has applied for a permit to operate a High Volume Horizontal Hydraulic Fracturing facility near Enfield Illinois, in White county.
The meeting will take place at the Kiwanis Point Shelter, near Dolan Lake in McLeansboro starting at 6:00PM. From Enfield, take Highway 14, turn south on County Road 1625 East, keep left at the "Y" and follow the signs.If unable to attend the meeting, the public can still express their comments to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources at: https://www.dnr.illinois.gov/OilandGas/Documents/Public%20Notice%20HVHHF-000001.pdf
