Probation for Man Involved in Fatal 2016 Carbondale Shooting

People
Jackson County State's Attorney
Dwayne Dunn

One of the men involved in a fatal shooting incident last year on West Walnut Street in Carbondale has avoided prison time, at least for now.

Online court records show 22-year-old Dwayne Dunn was sentenced this week to 30 months' probation after pleading guilty to reckless discharge of a firearm.
The shooting took the life of local musician Timothy Beaty, who was apparently hit by a stray bullet. Another man, Nehemiah Greenlee, received non-life threatening injuries.

Two other suspects, Travis Tyler and John Ingram, will go to trial in September.
