The manager of a Mt. Vernon thrift store has been arrested for stealing from his business.

The Mt. Vernon Police Department says 57-year-old William "Bill" Norton faces a warrant charging him with felony theft. He manages the Mt. Vernon Christian Outreach & Resale Shop.
Monday morning, detectives went to 330 West Sledge Street in Bonnie to make contact with Norton, who was the primary focuses of an investigation into ongoing thefts from the business.

After Norton refused to open his door, detectives entered the residence, found him inside and took him into custody.

During a search of the property, they found items reported to be stolen from the business.

Norton posted bond and was released.
