Jackson County authorities have located a missing man.
The Sheriff's Department says authorities found 79-year old Ralph Zoller of Vergennes at around 8:30 Wednesday morning in a cornfield about three miles from his home.
Zoller was suffering from exhaustion and dehydration, but was otherwise, was not seriously injured.
He was last seen Monday afternoon at his home. He was reported missing Tuesday and the search lasted all night, but was stepped up at dawn Wednesday when the Illinois State Police Air Operations Unit arrived along with more ground personnel.
The Jackson Sheriff's Department says the State Police unit located Zoller's truck at about 8:15 Wednesday morning and guided those on the ground to the truck's location. Zoller was found several hundred feet from the truck.
Family members say Zoller has occasional dementia and other health problems.
