Lt Governor to Speak at Carbondale Memorial Day Service

Illinois' Lt. Governor will be featured speaker at the annual Carbondale Memorial Day Service.
 Sheila Simon will deliver the keynote address on Monday morning at Woodlawn Cemetery on East Main Street.
Mayor Joel Fritzler will serve as Master of Ceremonies.  Reverend Sidney Logwood of Rock Hill Baptist Church will offer the invocation and benediction and Dexter Wakefield will sing The National Anthem. Other participants in the Service will include representatives from the VFW, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Carbondale Preservation Commission, and Carbondale Boy Scout Troop #133.

The service starts at 10 a.m. Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery.
