A southwestern Illinois native is the new president of John A. Logan College.
Logan's Board of Trustees voted Monday to hire 55-year-old Michael Dreith as its 7th president following a national search. Dreith currently serves as president of Western Texas College. He has also served as president of Frontier College in Fairfield and as an associate dean and professor at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey. Dreith will replace Bob Mees, who will retire on June 30th. Dreith will take over as Logan's president on July 1st.
