Illinois Comptroller Susana Mendoza says she will likely have to skip another payment to the state's schools.
That's because of a political fight between Democrats in the legislature and Republican Governor Bruce Rauner.
Mendoza says schools are expecting another payment from the state on Sunday.
"Every single child across the state of Illinois is being attacked right now because of nonsensical politics at play from Governor Rauner."
Schools aren't receiving state money while elected officials debate how best to distribute state money.
Mendoza says she hopes the House overrides Rauner's partial veto of a school funding measure.
But, Republicans say the Democrats don't have enough votes to override.
