Victims of workplace sexual harassment have a new resource to lodge their complaints and seek help.
The Illinois Department of Human Rights has launched a sexual harassment hotline.
Anyone in Illinois who believes they've been harassed at work may phone in a confidential report. The hotline will also refer callers to available counseling and legal services.
The agency says the service is designed to centralize the sexual harassment reporting process-so that the Department can better enforce Illinois' workplace discrimination laws.
The hotline call center will be open during normal business hours-and conversations are confidential and exempt from information disclosure laws.
The phone number and reporting resources are now available at www.illinois.gov/sexualharassment.
