Governor Quinn’s Fiscal 2013 Budget proposal calls for the consolidation of eight Department of Human Services Offices in the southern Illinois region.
According to the budget plan the DHS office in Clay County would merge with the Effingham County office in Effingham. The Clinton and Fayette County offices would consolidate with the Marion County Office in Centralia.
The Lawrence County Human Services Office would consolidate with Crawford County. The Richland and White County offices would merge with the Wabash County office in Mt. Carmel. And the Shelby county Office would consolidate with Christian County.
