SIU Men’s Basketball Head Coach Barry Hinson says he was surprised to learn two more of his players will transfer to other schools next year.
Freshmen Jordan Caroline and Deion Lavender announced their intentions Monday. They mark the fourth and fifth players to leave the Salukis this year.
Chaz Glotta, KC Goodwin and Jalen Pendleton already announced their plans to leave the team.
Hinson says he and the rest of the coaching staff are working to fill the vacancies left behind. He also points out it’s not just an SIU problem – roughly 12-hundred players transferred from their teams over the last two years.
The Salukis were 12-21 for the year, 4-14 in the Missouri Valley Conference this season.
