Heartland Regional Medical Center Hires A Familar Face as CEO

Melisa Adkins

Heartland Regional Medical Center has selected a Marion native to become the facility's new leader.

Melisa Adkins will become the chief executive officer on February 13th.
Adkins served as Heartland Regional Medical Center's chief nursing officer from 2011-2015. During that time, she led the completion of the Intensive Care Unit.

Currently, Adkins serves as the chief nursing officer of Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

She will replace Kane Dawson, who is currently serving as interim CEO.
