The Gettysburg Address: Giant City Beta Club

President Abraham Lincoln delivered his Gettysburg Address during the Civil War on November 19, 1863.   This week Ken Burns' new documentary,  The Address, aired nationwide on PBS.   As part of the initiative school children across the country were encouraged to recite President Lincoln's historic speech.

Today, that speech lives on through this rendition by the eighth grade members of Giant City School's Beta Club.

The Ken Burns documentary The Address airs again Friday on WSIU TV channel 8.2 The World at 6:30 pm and 11:30 pm.
