The Bucky Fuller Dome Home in Carbondale is one of the very last Buckminster Fuller artifacts remaining in the entire world.
The RFB Dome non-profit organization is dedicated to completing the preservation of the Dome Home and has already raised more than $87,000 dollars towards their goal of $125,000 in Save America's Treasures matching grant. Board President of the RFB Dome Not-For-Profit, Jon Daniel Davey says preserving the dome is important. He says there is really no other place in the United States that the common person can have the opportunity to go and visit and understand something about Buckminster Fuller. So, the young students or the young designer, the person interested in sustainability, the person who is interested in who coined the term "spaceship earth," and the person who made the GZ famous in the United States, there is really no other place to go but Carbondale.
