Recovery efforts are continuing in southern Illinois as Federal Emergency Management Agency officials are due to assess damage from last week's deadly storms.
Illinois U.S. Senator Dick Durbin said FEMA officials were expected to survey Monday in Harrisburg, where six people died and about 100 people were injured when a tornado struck the community of 9,000 residents.
Harrisburg schools are expected to reopen on Monday. The tornado hit Saline County early Wednesday.
Volunteer cleanup crews worked in shifts over the weekend. Durbin toured the area on Saturday along with Illinois Emergency Management Agency Director Jonathon Monken.
The tornado that blasted Harrisburg in southern Illinois, killing six, was an EF4, the second-highest rating given to twisters based on damage.
Scientists said it was 200 yards wide with winds up to 170 miles per hour.
