Carbondale Police are investigating a fatal stabbing.
Officers say they responded to the 300 block of Crestview Lane in the eastern part of town around 6:20 Thursday evening.
They found a stabbing victim and officers immediately began treating him.
The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, where he later died from his injuries.
The victim has been identified as 37-year-old George Lewis of Chicago. The suspect in this incident is believed to be an acquaintance of Lewis.
