Everyone Accounted for in Harrisburg

Illinois officials say no one is missing in Harrisburg after severe weather rolled through southern Illinois.Patti Thompson is a spokeswoman for the Illinois Emergency Management Agency. She says Harrisburg authorities have accounted for everyone and outside search-and-rescue teams have been called off. But, she says outside agencies have supplied light poles and nine ambulances. Thompson says Governor Quinn has activated the State Emergency Operations Center in Springfield.

Governor Quinn says the state is ``committed to do everything possible'' to help communities recover from the storms. The governor's office says the state emergency operations center will remain activated as long as needed.

The early morning storm resulted in six confirmed fatalities and more than 100-injuries.  Most of the damage occurred on the southeast side of Harrisburg.  Saline County authorities report more than 200-homes were damaged or destroyed.
