Drug Bust in Mt. Vernon Nets Five Arrests

Five people were arrested in Mt. Vernon on drug related charges.

The Mt. Vernon Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office High Risk Team served a drug search warrant early Thursday morning at a residence on South 24th Street in Mt. Vernon.

A search by police detectives revealed quantities of heroin, methamphetamine, and drug equipment. The following arrests were made:

30–year–old Cody James for Possession of Heroin, Methamphetamine, and Drug Equipment

49–year–old Carrie R. Havansek for Possession of Heroin and Methamphetamine; and a Clinton County Failure To Appear warrant for Possession of Dangerous Drugs

38–year–old Henry F. York for Possession of Heroin

36–year–old Jessica E. Phillippe for Possession of Heroin, Methamphetamine, and Drug Equipment

38–year–old Kevin L. Phillips for Possession of Drug Equipment.
