Celebrate Valentine's Day With WSIU

WSIU Hosts 18th Annual Love is on the Air Event

Carbondale, Ill. -- WSIU Radio and WSIU-TV, the public media stations of Southern Illinois University (SIU), invite the general public to make Valentine's Day a little sweeter for someone special by participating in the stations' 18th Annual “Love is on the Air” fundraiser.

Individuals who make a donation to WSIU from now through 1pm on Wednesday, February 12 can send boxes of regular or sugar-free gourmet chocolates made by The Chocolate Factory in Golconda, Illinois anywhere in the continental U.S., courtesy of The UPS Store of Carbondale, formerly Mail Boxes Etc.

Chocolates are available in half-pound boxes for a donation of $45, one-pound boxes for a donation of $60, and two-pound boxes for a donation of $100. Participants can also order a one-pound box of chocolates, along with a Comfort Heart Pillow™ from Mother Earth Pillows of Arnold, Mo, for a $120 donation. Each box includes a gift card with the sender's personalized Valentine message.

Secure pledges can be made online at http://www.wsiu.org/love. or by calling 1-800-745-9748. Orders must be received by 1pm on Wednesday, February 12 for delivery on or before Valentine's Day.
