Carterville and Carbondale Police Investigate Break-Ins

Carterville Police are investigating two separate burglaries from this past weekend.

Officers responded to a report of a burglary at a business in the 200 block of Commercial Drive on Saturday at 3:20 a.m. The officers found someone broke a window and stole cash.
Then that afternoon at 2:30, a Carterville Officer responded to a report of a burglary in the 700 block of Eagle Pass Drive. The officer learned that between May 12th and May 19th, someone stole furniture and a small appliance.

The investigation of both incidents is ongoing.

Carbondale Police are looking for a suspect wanted for invading a home this past weekend.

Officers responded to the 2800 block of West Kent Drive just before 8 p.m. Friday.

The investigation determined the suspect unlawfully entered the residence, took property and battered the victim, who suffered injuries requiring medical treatment.

The suspect is described as a white male. The investigation is currently active.
