The social media campaign #CarbondaleProud is gaining momentum as residents post pictures and stories highlighting the positives in the community.
#CarbondaleProud member Steve Quinn says lately bad news about Carbondale has overwhelmed the news cycle.
But he says underneath the bad news are the positive qualities of Carbondale, including being surrounded by the Shawnee National Forrest and having diverse and hard-working community.
Quinn says #CarbondaleProud was created to highlight such positives to remind Carbondale residents of the positives qualities in their community.
