Carbondale Police Release Surveillance Video in Search of Sexual Assault Suspect

Carbondale Police have released two surveillance videos of a man they say is suspected in an attempted sexual assault earlier this month.
The videos show a man walking along East Grand Avenue. Police say they want to talk to him, and are asking for the public's help in identifying him.

Carbondale PD was called just before 7:00 in the morning on October second to a report of an attempted sexual assault and battery. The victim says the suspect is a white man about 20-25 years old with a thin build and shaggy hair. He's about six feet tall and approximately 180 pounds, and was last seen wearing black pants and a black long-sleeve shirt.

The victim yelled and fought off her attacker. She received minor injuries, but declined medical treatment.

If you have information about the case, please call Carbondale Police or their CrimeStoppers line at 549-COPS.
